Fresh, Colorful, Bright, Whimsical, Fun & Inviting…. That is how I would describe my art. I have a foundation in creative design, marketing & illustration, hence my work is conceived to create a well-balanced composition and color palate as well as expressing unique creations and situations. Sea life has been my focus recently and comes from a love for the sea and its many denizens. Growing up in Houston meant going to the beach – a lot! We’ve had a beach house for many years and I also been a surfer (of sorts) and a scuba diver for 30 years. While I love to create creatures of the deep, at the same time, for the past 35+ years, I have been painting personal and custom commission artwork, primarily watercolors of pets, kids, sports, homes, wedding, anniversaries, vacations, events, wildlife, seascapes, landscapes, for Christmas gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc… A unique gift idea for that person who has everything and is impossible to buy for or impress. Please check out my website ( and if interested in a commission, please let me know you saw my work at the Affaire d’Art Gallery when you email me.I am a native Texan (and Proud of it!) growing up in Houston. I went to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating in 1972 with BA in Art. I am a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and also an Eagle Scout. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Nancy for 45 years and we have two married children and five awesome grandkids. We have lived in Katy, Texas since 1994.How it all started – I was fortunate to be named the Grand Prize winner in my Elementary School Easter Art Contest when I was in sixth grade. This prompted my teacher to recommend I should start taking art lessons. I started lessons at the Museum of Fine Art / Houston, and then private lessons through my junior and high school years.
